Meet Lindsay Meyer-Harley

"I'm just doing life as best I can. Sometimes it's messier than I'd like, sometimes the kids skip their baths, or the dishes stay in the sink too long. We're behind on dentist appointments and other things like that. We have long to do lists, but hey, that's ok. My kids go to bed snuggled up at night in their warm beds, after being sung to, read to and cuddled. Kevin and I love each other and tell each other, really meaning it each day. The rains might be pouring down outside, and life can be hard sometimes, but there's something profound about the common struggle, the shared desire to rise above that we all feel deep inside. Let's be thre for one another, okay? You're doing great. Xx"

Hat: The Lydia by Gigi Pip 

The balance between my mom life + business owner life has been a learning curve that no one could have warned me of to the full extent before starting Gigi Pip. I'm over here dropping one hat after the next, but Lindsay Meyer-Harley seems to have this balance thing figured out! I'm continually amazed at all she accomplishes in one day. She has been running the show over at Darling Clementine for the passed 4 years, is a beautiful mother to two very loved, incredibly beautiful children + recently relocated with her family to Portland, OR. Excited for you to get to know Lindsay a bit better! 

We are all so many things aren’t we? Mother, Wife, Friend, Boo Boo Kisser, Life Teacher, Chef, Dreamer, Shop Owner...

All of them, they make up different parts of me, and are have their value. Being a wife and being a mother are so different, and pull different parts of me out into the light. Being a friend too, life really is about being there for others, and allowing ourselves to be loved back.

These days being a friend is the most challenging, life seems overwhelming sometimes, keeping in touch with family that is far away, keeping myself present with my kids, staying connected to my husband and running Darling Clementine is a lot to take on. I find friendships take a back seat to everything and while I understand why that happens, I am making a point to carve out time for friendships. They are so important to our sanity!

I’m a pretty open book actually! I don’t think there are any hats that are least known. Though I think people imagine Darling Clementine is run by a team of people when it’s just me answering every email, every social media post, ordering each season and doing the book keeping, except for shipping it’s all me!
